On
a very hot September day we gathered in Jean Talboys garden to make two poppy
wreaths and button holes with more than a hundred poppies knitted by members
and friends.
One of these will be laid in Hollingbourne Church on Remembrance Sunday and the other will be taken to Templeuve on the 11th of November. We used several shades of red, with bright green leaves and centres made by Mary Henderson to produce an attractive new take on the traditional poppy wreath.
